In order to promote the culture of peace, Côte d’Ivoire commemorates November 15 of each year, the National Day of Peace (JNPaix), in accordance with Decree No. 96-205 of March 7, 1996.

It is for the Government the opportunity to sensitize the different social strata with a view to consolidate peace, by ensuring, for all and by all, an environment which guarantees the security of goods and people in Côte d’Ivoire.
It is within this framework that the Ivorian Initiative for Evaluation (2IEval) is organizing a High Level Panel (HLP) on the theme: “Evaluation, Peace and Development”.

The objective of the High Level Panel (HLP) is to strengthen the technical capacities of development evaluation actors and mobilize high-level commitment from decision-makers for a better investment in evaluation for the promotion of peace and peacebuilding.

The High Level Panel (HLP) will contribute to bridge the evaluation funding gap and recommend ways to ensure sustained commitment at all levels, leveraging ongoing global and continental efforts to accelerate the achievement of targets related to the SDG 16 and Aspiration 4 of the African Union Agenda 2063 for an Africa living in peace and security.
